About Us

About Us

Our vision is that all children and young people have an enjoyable life in a healthy, fair and safe environment where they are respected and supported to achieve their full potential.

For thirty years, Stepping Stones for Families has worked alongside children, young people and families to give them support, opportunities and a voice in tackling the effects of poverty and disadvantage in their lives.

Our aspiration is to be an organisation that makes a positive lasting difference to families, young people and communities. Headquartered in Paisley, we pride ourselves on ensuring that the vast majority of our income is spent on delivering services. Continually assessing our performance so that we can adapt to a rapidly changing world is at the heart of our work, and we have been recognised by Investors in People since 2000. Our services are consistently graded in the “very good” and “excellent” categories by the Care Inspectorate and SSfF is also an accredited Living Wage Employer.

Our 2000+ service users are at the core of our programmes and governance. People accessing our services can become members of Stepping Stones for Families, and this enables them to table motions at the Annual General Meeting, vote in the election of board directors, and have a say in how we deliver services. We are committed to transparency and engagement with our stakeholders.

Stepping Stones for Families is a multi-award winning charity that has been recognised by the Faculty of Public Health, Healthy Working Lives, Scotland’s Health at Work, the Scottish Qualifications Authority and the Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.
