Vacancy for Lead Practitioner Attainment

We have the following vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who welcomes the challenge of being part of an organisation committed to working alongside families and communities to tackle the effects of poverty and disadvantage.

Hours: 17.5 per week (0.5 FTE)
Location: Easterhouse, Glasgow
Salary: £27,020 pro rata
Holiday Entitlement: 38 days pro rata
Pension Contribution: 6.55% (above Lower Earnings Limit)

You will work within the childcare team to provide additional support to children within the childcare centre(s) to help close the attainment gap by developing high quality relationships and interactions with children that promote wellbeing and extend thinking and concept development.

You will be qualified or be working towards a BA Childhood Practice, Graduate PDA Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 9 or Graduate B.Ed.

You must have a HNC Childhood Practice or a SCQF Level 7 Social Services Children and Young People (or equivalent that meets SSSC requirements for registration at Practitioner level) and be able to provide evidence of relevant experience of practice within an early learning and childcare setting.

This post is funded by Glasgow City Council until 14 August 2020 with a possibility of being funded beyond that date.

The selection process will include seeking PVG Scheme information.
