It is ALL about the money - Blog by Nikki, Manager of our Money Advice Service

When you don’t have any spare, then life is more difficult. Even working families struggle to meet their daily living needs. There is no room for crisis.

Your washing machine breaks down – what happens – no washing done?

Your cooker breaks down – you live on carry out food?

I have worked with Stepping Stones for Families for nearly 20 years and together with families and partners we tackle some of the barriers to inclusion. In particular financial inclusion.

We help families to break down barriers and to take control of their own destiny and lives. We support them to seek out positive experiences and opportunities.

We provide advice and information in relation to their money management which allows them to make informed choices for their future.

Our Financial Fairytale books provide an introduction to money management at an early age which gives the children the base for appropriate future money management.

Our FREE impartial and confidential service is well respected in this area and most of our referrals are directly from the people themselves who have heard about us – ‘doon the street’.

Our service is bespoke to meet the needs of the communities it serves, we have a holistic approach to all our service delivery. We try to ensure that families are happier, healthier and wealthier where we can.

I certainly couldn’t work anywhere else. I LOVE MY JOB!
