Day care
We provide a high quality childcare service through a number of our projects for children, giving them the best start in life and supporting them to reach their full potential. Our main aim is to provide support work for parents and families who wish to access training and employment.
Our high quality, curriculum based service is inspected regularly by the Care Commission and we always ensure that our staff are fully qualified and are recruited safely.
Parents are supported in their parenting role through information and advice offered by our staff at the different projects. Children are offered opportunities and stimulating activities to assist them to meet their developmental milestones. Children’s learning, attainment and achievement is developed to help them acquire a full range of skills and abilities.

We have developed a range of complementary and flexible childcare to meet the needs of communities.
Community Crèches
Our crèches provide quality childcare for early years to primary school aged children. The activities are age appropriate and encourage learning and development.
Crèches staffed by Stepping Stones for Families support local people and communities to access part time learning opportunities. We also provide this service for a wide range of organisations and agencies throughout the area, this supports the involvement of people in community activities including support groups and learning opportunities.
Crèche activities are planned in advance and resources are moved between the crèches to ensure that children have a wide choice and easy access to different play opportunities.
We also provide this service for corporate functions, weddings, birthdays and a whole range of events that require quality childcare from qualified professionals.

Out of School Care
Stepping Stones for Families delivers an Out of School Care service for families that require childcare in the hours after they finish school and whole days during the school holidays. This allows for parents/ carers to continue with work or study, where they may be unable to do so without such a service.
Cared for by qualified professionals, children are also encouraged in their own personal development by building on their burgeoning social and personal skills in a safe and relaxed environment.

Sitter Service
We provide a range of flexible home-based childcare to suit flexible work patterns.
As a response to the identified need for flexible childcare in communities we established local Sitter Services. Our Sitter Services now cover all areas across the north of Glasgow and South and East Ayrshire. These services provide high quality home based childcare, providing a tailored service to meet the work patterns of local families. The service is available 7 days a week from early morning into late evening and in South and East Ayrshire we offer a specialist service for families caring for children with additional support needs.
Again we strive to ensure that our staff is employed responsibly and safely and that they are trained to within our high standards.
