Thistle Childcare - What We Do
Thistle Childcare (Thistle) Centre is an award winning Stepping Stones for Families Early Learning and Childcare service that provides families with a welcoming, high quality, affordable and flexible service which is based in Blairtummock in Easterhouse, Glasgow.
In partnership with Glasgow City Council, Thistle can offer families funded places for 3-5 year olds within a full day care service and also caters for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
Thistle Childcare Centre operates Monday to Friday from 8am – 5.30pm and provides children and families with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Children can have fun, develop friendships and make memories that last a lifetime. Dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of children, the service is dedicated towards being responsive to the needs and abilities of each and every individual child and family, Thistle:

· Promotes and supports nurture and family relationships
· Supports the improvement of health and wellbeing
A Child’s World – Nurturing Families
Thistle understands the importance of the whole family to a child’s world. Families who join us at Thistle have access to an additional and dedicated Family Support Service, which can be provided via one-to-one personalised support, and alongside a programme of events which enables families to enjoy time together and include:
· Family meal times
· Stay and play opportunities
· Bookbug sessions
· Community health activities that support physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
